**Job Title: Project Manager**
**Job Description**
The Design and Construction Project Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations related to programming, planning, design, construction, and activation of small projects within a healthcare setting. This role ensures projects are completed within budget, on schedule, and in compliance with all program objectives and governmental regulations. The Project Manager acts as a liaison between clients, users, and other project participants including consultants, contractors, vendors, and external agencies.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assess and document project scope, objectives, and requirements, considering user needs, safety standards, and aesthetic considerations.
+ Assist in developing policies, guidelines, and standards and represent the department in committees and professional organizations.
+ Implement quality control measures to ensure project compliance with hospital and university policies and government regulations.
+ Maintain regular communication with all project participants to inform them of project status, challenges, and required actions.
+ Manage the furnishing and equipment selection, purchasing, and installation processes.
+ Oversee the review and approval process for design work, project budgets, and field changes.
+ Negotiate contracts and manage the selection process for consultants, contractors, and vendors.
+ Prepare and maintain accurate project records, files, and cost estimates according to department procedures.
+ Provide leadership and supervision to assigned consultants.
+ Ensure accountability for scope, schedule, and budget across multiple projects in varying phases of the life cycle.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum of three years of progressively responsible work experience in project management.
+ Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university.
+ Strong stakeholder management skills and experience in healthcare or live critical facilities.
+ Proficient in construction management, budgeting, cost estimation, and scheduling.
+ Experience with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems and tenant improvements.
+ Knowledge of CAD systems, project management tools, and regulatory requirements.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ PMP and OSHA-10 certification preferred.
+ Experience with PM Web and Primavera is preferred.
+ Certified Facility Manager (CFM) certification is a plus.

**Work Environment**
This role is based in an offsite facility in Menlo Park, associated with the main hospital. The Project Management Office oversees all construction and tenant improvement projects within the main hospital. This is a full-time, in-office position with no remote work options. The environment includes an EHS group, facilities, maintenance, and construction teams.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Menlo Park, CA.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $62.50 - $68.00/hr.
