Project Manager
Job Description You’re a seasoned Project Manager with over 5 years of experience managing commercial and residential construction projects. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing project plans and schedules while ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality. Your proven track record includes successfully managing budgets, schedules, and scope for a demanding portfolio of projects and clients. Essential Responsibilities: • Demonstrate leadership in health, safety, and environmental protection on the project site. • Apply the requirements of the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP) to ensure compliance with Ledcor HS&E standards, as well as all applicable OH&S Acts, regulations, and codes for employees and subcontractors. • Create and facilitate the Project Quality Program to ensure all materials and work meet required standards. • Ensure projects are built according to approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, and building codes, maintaining high quality standards. • Develop and maintain the construction schedule in collaboration with the project team to meet key milestones and completion dates, using MS Project or similar tools. • Lead project meetings with internal and external stakeholders to monitor and support ongoing project progression. • Provide strong leadership to the construction team (including coordinators and superintendents), leveraging individual and group strengths to achieve project targets. • Identify and manage opportunities and risks to optimize project schedule and financial outcomes. • Maintain, track, and report all financial aspects of the project, including budget management, forecasts, and billings. • Write scopes of work and oversee document control (with administrative support from the project coordinator). • Be based full-time on site (site office or office trailer), managing the team and day-to-day operations. Oversee the project through various stages, ensuring all deliverables are met. Skills and Requirements • 5+ years of related work experience as a Project Manager or in a similar direct managerial/supervisory role (PM for a bit, full cycle, budget, scheduling, etc) • Completed post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering or related discipline an asset • Experienced in managing new build commercial & residential construction projects • Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, costs, budgets and current construction practices and methodology • Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with multiple stakeholders, understand and interpret stakeholder needs and identify solutions to non-routine queries • Capable of anticipating constructability issues in moderate to complex situations and creating solutions in the construction plan and schedule • Strong negotiation skills; ability to influence and persuade others to reach a consensus • A track record of building successful teams and promoting teamwork through motivating and coaching • Must have and maintain a valid provincial driver’s license Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol requirements
