(You can learn more about us here.) classified see attached. *What is this career opportunity?* The Architecture & Engineering Division (A&E) is looking for an organized professional with fantastic communication skills, and solidarchitecture or mechanical engineeringconstruction knowledge to join our Design team. Your supervisor will be an architect, and your coworkers are comprised of two architects and two engineers. You will also work in conjunctionwith amanagement team. This position provides design-phase management of projects for the State of Montana. Projects range from minor remodels and deferred maintenance to new building construction. Responsibilities of the position include: · Management of external design professionals on capital projects, ensuring alignment with project goals, budgets, and timelines. · Guide/manage projects from inception, space planning, programming, cost estimating, construction documents, and through bidding and negotiations. · Advocate for long-term energy efficiency, building performance and accessibility. · Collaborate across disciplines, ensuring managers as well as building leaders are included in decisions impacting projects · Engage with city and state agencies, including permitting authorities and the State Historic Preservation Office to ensure effortless project approvals and compliance. (You can learn more about the division here.) *What are we looking for?* *MINIMUM POSITION KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES* ** *Education and Experience:* · A degree in Architecture or Engineering from an accredited program. · A licensed Architect or Engineer or in the process of becoming professionally licensed. · Professional experience (minimum 5 years) in architectural design, planning, and construction management — ideally with public sector or consulting backgrounds. · Alternate combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis. · Strong working knowledge of IBC, ADAAG, and sustainable building practices. · Proficiency with design and planning software, including AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and MS Office suite.
