Project Manager
Job Title: Energy Project ManagerJob Description

The Energy Project Manager is responsible for overseeing projects after they have been secured by the sales team. This role involves ensuring a seamless installation experience for customers by coordinating internal processes with homeowners, local permitting authorities, utilities, and company personnel.

ResponsibilitiesEstablish yourself as the main point of contact for the project during the onboarding process.Review assessments, notes from Sales Technicians/Service Estimators, and client requests to create a plan for installation.Submit documentation to a third-party drafting company along with the installation plan to obtain project documents, and review them for accuracy.Handle all permitting, inspection, and utility coordination required to complete the project.Inform customers of installation timelines and alert them to any changes. Share installation documents and a welcome packet to inform them of the installation plan and standards.Finalize monitoring registration for the system post-installation and handle service claims from past clients.Create job postings for projects to prepare crews for projects and update project progress in project management tools.
Essential SkillsProfessional qualification in PV/ESS/EVC/Service projects.Maintain training certifications for all products installed.NABCEP PV Design Specialist certification.Effective customer communication, establishing rapport and delivering a personalized experience.Technical understanding of PV/ESS/EVC/Service projects.Ability to review plan sets for accuracy, code compliance, and project-specific requirements.Knowledge of permitting and utility approval processes.Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience working with an energy or solar installer is preferred.Knowledge of residential permitting and code compliance is beneficial.Experience and exposure to construction trades and utility work.Experience interfacing with customers and electrical work.Familiarity with permitting and utility approval processes.Proven track record of managing multiple projects and coordinating with various stakeholders.Project Management experience in Solar Installation, Construction, or Energy Project Management is highly preferred.
Work Environment

The work environment consists of a small office with 10-11 people, within a company of 55 employees in total. The company operates in the renewable energy space, focusing on innovative projects in high-end residential homes. The atmosphere is dynamic and supportive, offering opportunities to work on exciting projects like EV battery installations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kenmore, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
