The Company
A global mining operator is looking to execute a mining processing infrastructure project on their overseas mine. As a result, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager to support this project.
The Role
The Project Manager will be working closely with the Tailings Manager and will be responsible for the project planning, schedules, budgets, stakeholder engagement, risk management, site mobilization and construction management.
This will be a hybrid of 2 weeks in the Brisbane office and FIFO 10/4 to the overseas mine site till completion of the project.
This role is only open to Brisbane based candidates.
Your Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and optimize detailed construction schedules using tools MS Project and/or Deswik, ensuring alignment with embankment raise milestones.
Manage budgets, track expenditures, and analyze cost variances, with experience in forecasting and implementing corrective actions.
Supervising embankment construction activities, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, safety standards, and environmental regulations
Conduct risk assessments to identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Preparing and presenting progress reports, dashboards, and risk assessments to internal and external stakeholders, including senior management
Coordinating with stakeholders and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
Lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinate contractors and suppliers, and foster collaboration between site operations and technical teams.
What you’ll need to succeed
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is essential.
Substantial experience in mining-related construction managing tailings or water dams or bulk earthworks projects.
Overseas experience is highly regarded.
Brisbane based.
