Job Title: Project Manager
Job Description

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing comprehensive project plans. This includes defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines, as well as identifying and documenting requirements, risks, and dependencies. You will play a pivotal role in communicating and collaborating with various stakeholders, ensuring a shared understanding of project goals and progress.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage project plans, defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.Identify and document project requirements, risks, and dependencies.Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, team members, and senior management, to ensure alignment on project goals and expectations.Manage stakeholder expectations and establish effective communication channels.Lead and motivate project teams, assigning tasks and providing guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.Identify and allocate project resources, including personnel, budget, and equipment, to ensure efficient execution of project tasks.Monitor resource utilization and make adjustments as necessary.Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, developing strategies to minimize disruptions.Conduct regular quality reviews to ensure project deliverables meet defined standards.Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost control.Prepare and present regular project status reports, highlighting progress, risks, and issues.Manage project changes, assessing change requests, evaluating impacts, and implementing approved changes.Coordinate successful project closure, conducting evaluations and capturing lessons learned for future reference.Essential Skills7+ years of experience managing software and IT projects.Proficiency in project management tools such as Confluence and Jira.Strong knowledge of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and IT Service Management (ITSM).Project management certification, such as PMP or PRINCE2.Experience in a fast-paced private sector environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with satellite communications projects.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Work Environment

The position requires working onsite four days per week, with remote work available on Wednesdays. You will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team within one of the fastest growing companies in North America, focusing on satellite communications projects.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Ottawa, Ontario.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $85.00/hr.
