We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the development and execution of a greenfield gold/copper mining project. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all phases of the project lifecycle—from feasibility and permitting through construction and commissioning—ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and environmental standards
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the full project lifecycle of a greenfield mining development
Coordinate feasibility studies, permitting, and stakeholder engagement
Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and risk registers
Oversee engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) activities
Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations
Liaise with internal teams, contractors, consultants, and government authorities
Report project progress to senior leadership and stakeholders
Implement project controls and governance frameworks
Drive continuous improvement and operational readiness planning
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Civil Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred)
Minimum 10 years of experience in mining project management, with at least 3 years in greenfield projects
Proven experience in gold and/or copper mining projects
Strong knowledge of permitting, environmental compliance, and stakeholder engagement
PMP or PRINCE2 certification is an advantage
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
Willingness to work in remote or site-based locations
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with mining software (e.g., Surpac, MineSight, Deswik)
Experience working with Indigenous communities and local governments
Knowledge of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) frameworks
