We are seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Program Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex programs that align with enterprise-level objectives. This role is responsible for managing resources, scope, budget, and schedules to ensure successful completion of program goals. The Senior Program Manager will work closely with task and functional leaders, subcontractors, vendors, and support personnel to coordinate efforts and deliver impactful results. This position also carries Profit and Loss (P&L) accountability and plays a critical role in shaping functional strategies and driving operational excellence.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead strategic programs from initiation through execution, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and customer requirementsManage program scope, budget, timelines, risks, resources, and quality to ensure successful deliveryCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership, clients, subcontractors, and cross-functional teamsRecommend and implement new tools, processes, and standards to improve program execution and operational efficiencyAnalyze program performance through systematic evaluations and implement corrective actions where necessaryEnsure alignment across multiple functional areas and influence acceptance of new practices or approachesLead change management initiatives and drive process improvements within the program and across the organizationProvide input to strategic planning and business development initiativesMentor and provide guidance to junior project or program managers, including reviewing work and delegating responsibilitiesMaintain accountability for financial performance, reporting, and resource management across the program portfolioBasic Qualifications
TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is requiredBachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Management, or a related discipline12–15 years of relevant program or project management experience (or 10–13 years with a Master’s degree)Demonstrated experience managing large, complex programs with significant business or customer impactProven track record of leading multidisciplinary teams and driving results in high-stakes environmentsExpertise in:Program and project managementProgram evaluation and implementationProject planning and proposal developmentChange management and process improvementResource and risk managementStrong communication skills with the ability to interface with executive leadership and influence stakeholdersDemonstrated experience with P&L responsibility and managing to financial targetsAbility to develop and implement scalable solutions across business functionsPreferred Qualifications
PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP certificationLean Six Sigma, Agile, or SAFe certificationsExperience working in highly regulated industries (e.g., defense, aerospace, government contracting)Expertise in writing and managing complex project or program proposalsFamiliarity with enterprise project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Primavera)Proven success influencing senior leaders and leading organizational transformation initiativesActive security clearance (if required by contract or customer)EC-DAS
