Project Manager, Customer Choice (E7) – Transmission Project Management Organization (PMO)
JOB SUMMARY
The Customer Choice Project Manager will be responsible for leading the development and execution of transmission line and substation capital engineering, procurement, and construction for customer choice projects within Georgia. This role involves a comprehensive approach to project management, ensuring project delivery while maintaining high standards of quality and stakeholder satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership: Lead projects to successful completion, ensuring accountability and contribution from all team members. Project Development and Input: Provide valuable input during the initial stages of project development to ensure alignment with customer and business objectives. Coordination: Manage engineering, procurement, construction, and closeout phases of project ensuring seamless integration and execution. Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor project progress, schedules, and budgets, focusing on high-risks areas to mitigate potential challenges. Change Management: Oversee the project change management process to ensure all adjustments are effectively managed and communicated. Post-Project Review: Conduct thorough post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and share insights for continuous improvement. Stakeholder Management: Develop relationships and engage with both internal and external stakeholders to manage expectations, address concerns, and ensure a high level of satisfaction and collaboration. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage project risks to minimize impact on project delivery and outcomes. Quality Assurance: Ensure all project deliverables meet the required quality standards and specifications. Cost Management: Utilize project management expertise to minimize capital costs while maximizing customer satisfaction.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Educational/Certification Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or related field is a plus. Preferred Certifications include Project Management Professional (PMP), Professional in Project Management (PPM), Project Director (CPD), Certified Project Manager (CPM), PMO Certified Practitioner (PMO-CP). Professional Engineering License (PE) is a plus. A minimum of 3 years of project management experience is required. Experience in the electric utility industry is a plus.

Ability to conduct financial analysis, manage capital budgets, and provide accurate cost projections. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to think outside the box Knowledgeable in contract administration. Ability to successfully manage large projects in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines and demands.
