Description
Robert Half is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Lexington, Kentucky. This position will provide critical support while the Kentucky State Manager is on short-term disability leave, ensuring that campaign priorities are executed effectively and volunteers are engaged. The role also involves organizing and supporting the Kentucky State Summit, working closely with volunteers and community stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and develop advocacy and campaign infrastructure within targeted legislative districts to achieve organizational goals.
• Create and maintain community action teams to advance local, state, and national campaigns.
• Collaborate with student engagement teams to establish student clubs on college campuses and support high school and early-career ambassadors.
• Provide training and ongoing support to volunteers, fostering leadership development and advocacy skills.
• Partner with family engagement associates to train parents and caregivers to advocate for early childhood education and child hunger prevention.
• Manage volunteer data and ensure accurate reporting to support organizational objectives.
• Build and maintain relationships with lawmakers at local, state, and federal levels to advance legislative priorities.
• Register as a lobbyist to support state legislative initiatives and promote advocacy campaigns.
• Engage with coalition partners and community stakeholders to collaborate on events and outreach programs.
• Represent the organization at community events and promote its agenda through strategic partnerships.
Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of three years of relevant experience.
• Proven field experience in at least one election cycle.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Strong skills in Office Suite and social media platforms.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with individuals and teams at all levels.
• Commitment to fostering diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% to priority districts.
• Preferable experience in state legislative or local campaigns and youth outreach initiatives. TalentMatch®
