HDR is providing PM/CM services for the Los Angeles World Airports ATMP Landside Improvements Project. The project will deliver critical improvements to the roadways, streets, and thoroughfares in and around the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) campus. HDR will assist with the management of projects throughout the design, preconstruction, and construction phases, from inception to closeout. HDR is proud to lead a strong team of world-class professionals to sculpt this project that is a key part of the infrastructure transformation ahead of the 2028 Olympics and will serve millions of travelers and Angelenos for decades to come.

In the role of Project Manager, we'll count on you to:Plan, manage and lead a team of professionals, overseeing the design of large-complex roadway, complete streets and building beautification projects.Manage design effort, design schedule, and budgets.Independently coordinate work of professional staff and balance team throughout entire project's developmentImplement and oversee change and risk management processes throughout the project lifecycle.Coordinate client needs and develop/build on relationships for problem solving and dispute resolution.Mentors, develops, and hires support staff to maintain a high-performing team.Monitors contract compliance and leads project dispute/resolution process.Leads and assists in the development of future design-build proposals.Builds and maintains relationships with project owners/Authority having Jurisdiction's (AHJ’s).Ensures compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations in roadway, complete streets and buildings design projects.Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including engineers, architects, and construction managers, to optimize project outcomes.Conducts regular project status meetings and prepares comprehensive reports for stakeholders.Implements innovative design solutions to improve project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.Manages project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure optimal utilization.Develops and maintains project documentation, including design plans, specifications, and technical reports.Establish client relations, and be involved with project initiation, development, environmental, design and production meetingsParticipate in reviews with various governing agencies for complianceConduct work sessions for design development and contract document in conjunction with other staffCoordinate workload through entire project development, and ensure completion of documents on scheduleTrack financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to schedulePreferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in related field of Architecture, Civil Engineering, Project / Program Management or Business Administration10 years related experience delivering roadway, complete streets, landscaping improvements, building infrastructure, building beautification and LED lighting preferably with LAWA, City of LA, LA BOE, LADBS, LA DSLAt least 5 years project management experienceMust have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skillsRequired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field 7 years related experience A minimum of 2 years  project management experience Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
