Downer’s Energy & Utilities business is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of mobile network build projects across the Auckland region. Reporting to the Project Manager, this role plays a critical part in our telecommunications operations, ensuring work is delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This is a key leadership position within a collaborative and results-driven team, where you'll be overseeing a variety of mobile build activities and managing subcontractors, while maintaining strong client relationships. This role is based in Auckland with a hybrid working arrangement and supports major telecommunications contracts vital to New Zealand’s digital infrastructure.
What You’ll Do
Manage the end-to-end delivery of mobile build projects, including planning, scheduling, and financial oversight. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of work in progress, job costs, and project risks. Lead subcontractor management and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and legislative standards. Maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, providing updates on job status and performance. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to contract margin performance.What We Offer

Proven leadership experience in telecommunications or mobile network project delivery. Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractors and large-scale job scheduling. Strong commercial acumen with experience managing scope, budget, and performance metrics. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project scheduling tools such as MS Project.About Energy & Utilities
