We have an outstanding Contract position for a Project Manager to join a leading Company located in the Reston, VA surrounding area.
Job Responsibilities: Lead the end-to-end implementation of Workday Payroll. The Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering the project on time, within budget and in alignment with business objectives. The PM will work closely with cross-functional teams, including HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and external vendors. Lead and manage all phases of the payroll implementation project, from initiation to closure.Coordinate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into project objectives.Oversee system testing, data migration, user acceptance testing and training activities.Identify and mitigate risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve system implementation problems and overall system performance.Facilitate regular project meetings and provide status updates to leadership and stakeholders.Ensure successful system integration with timekeeping and benefits systems and vendors.Write and prepare system user documentation, instructional guides, reference materials and system plans and manuals.Develop post-implementation support plans and conduct project closeout activities, including lessons learned.
Basic Hiring CriteriaBachelor's degree or equivalent experience.PMP certification.Minimum of 5 years of technical project management experience and strong commitment to meeting deadlines in a dynamic team environment.Demonstrated time management, problem-solving, and leadership skills.Change management experience.Experience of planning and executing a business system implementation, preferably with Workday.
