**General Summary:**
As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating with partners and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of critical business projects. Project Managers will adeptly navigate obstacles and work closely with functional team members to guide each project to completion. This role requires cross-functional collaboration and impeccable organization skills to deliver projects in a timely manner and within budget.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of project management or related work experience.
OR
Associate's degree and 5+ years of project management or related work experience.
OR
High School Diploma or equivalent and 7+ years of project management or related work experience.
*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
• Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in IT-related area.
• 1+ year of project management experience or related work experience.
• 1+ year of experience with project management tools (e.g., dashboards, Visio).
**Principal Duties and Responsibilities:**
• Creates and updates project plans, schedules, and work breakdown structure for complex or large-scale projects or processes.
• Develops mechanisms and tracks the progress and execution of complex, broad in scope projects to ensure deadlines are met; ensures that data is handled appropriately and delivered to those who need it.
• Directs team resources to accomplish objectives; delegates and provides guidance and direction to team members.
• Develops solutions to complex problems requiring the regular use of ingenuity and innovation; anticipates issues and ensures solutions are consistent with company objectives.
• Defines, develops, and manages new and critical processes and methods (e.g. tracking tools, schedules, databases, documentation management systems) for increasing efficiency and accomplishing goals across multiple groups; trains others on use of new processes and methods.
• Designs guidelines and standards to engage resources and ensure teams are well supported (e.g. headcount, budget) in order to meet deadlines.
• Creates budgets and monitors costs during ambiguous or complex situations to ensure projects are being completed according to set budgets and resources and escalate cost issues to management and independently resolves cost issues.
• Collaborates with leaders on resource allocation decisions and changes throughout the project lifecycle to ensure that team members have necessary supplies to meet project demands while adhering to project budgets.
• Develops, manages, and drives enhancements for tools and processes to maintain and update databases using advanced aspects of data management tools (e.g., Excel, agile).
• Analyzes and interprets complex data independently and develops project metrics using advanced methods (e.g. macros, pivot tables, charts, graphs); evaluates the project's requirements, issues, deficits, and potential opportunities for future improvement.
• Synthesizes highly complex data and metrics into a summary of key trends, risks, and changes, and presents results in a report that can be easily understood by key stakeholders.
• Leads cross-team coordination for large, complex projects to identify and meet needs, draft appropriate communications, communicate progress, ensure compliance with policies and procedures, and make recommendations.
• Creates deliverables for meetings, technical documentation, and SharePoint management (e.g., meeting notes, draft email communications, presentations).
**Level of Responsibility:**
• Working independently with little supervision.
• Providing some supervision/guidance to others.
• Taking responsibility for own work and making decisions with limited impact; impact of decisions is readily apparent; errors made typically only impact timeline (i.e., require additional time to correct).
• Using verbal and written communication skills to convey information that may be somewhat complex to others who may have limited knowledge of the subject in question. May require basic negotiation and influence, cooperation, tact, and diplomacy, etc.
• Some financial accountability (e.g., manages a small budget, has input into P&L).
• Completing most tasks with multiple steps which can be performed in various orders; some planning and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively; mistakes may result in some rework.
• Exercising creativity to draft original documents, imagery, or work products within established guidelines.
• Using deductive problem solving to solve moderately complex problems; most problems have defined processes of diagnosis/detection; some limited data analysis may be required.
• May be solicited during strategic planning period.

**Pay range** **and Other Compensation & Benefits** **:**
$120,800.00 - $181,200.00
The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
