Project Manager – Fixed-term (1 Year)
**Project Manager – Global Quality Standards Team** **Location:** Poland (Hybrid/Remote) **Reports to:** Director, Global Quality Standards - Strategy **Contract Type:** **Fixed-term (1 year)** **About the Role** As Project Manager for the Global Quality Standards Team, you will drive the delivery of high-impact projects that underpin Pearson’s global quality standards. You will coordinate complex initiatives, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure effective communication and governance across multiple business units and geographies. **Key Responsibilities** **Project Leadership & Delivery** + Lead and coordinate multiple concurrent projects, including strategic initiatives, process improvements, and operational tasks. + Develop and maintain detailed project plans, tracking progress using tools such as JIRA, RAID logs, and dashboards. + Oversee sprint ceremonies, Kanban boards, and project documentation working directly with project and product owners to ensure transparency and accountability. + Manage project budgets, track costs, and handle invoices and quotations. **Stakeholder Management & Governance** + Serve as the secretariat and main point of contact for governance boards, working groups, and advisory groups. + Facilitate meetings, prepare and deliver presentations, and ensure timely follow-up on actions and decisions. + Maintain and update stakeholder lists, ensuring effective relationship management with internal teams and external vendors. **Communication & Change Management** + Draft, review, and distribute regular communications, including newsletters, meeting slides, post-meeting emails, and SharePoint news updates. + Set and manage regular communications meetings with critical stakeholders, maintain records of issued communications, manage and update detailed comms plans and delivery. + Support the alignment of team activities with broader business strategies. **Tracking, Reporting & Analytics** + Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and outcomes using dashboards and analytics tools. + Coordinate business analytics activities, including success metrics tracking and periodic reporting. + Support the development and delivery of strategic reports, including OKR tracking and quality standards governance and business-level reports. **Process & Community Management** + Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance team efficiency and project outcomes. + Support the management of the Quality Standards Community of Practice, including session planning and delivery. + Oversee onboarding and training activities for new team members and stakeholders. **Ad-hoc & Strategic Support** + Provide flexible support for ad-hoc tasks, including resource creation, event organization, and strategic PMO activities. + Collaborate with thought partners and strategic leads to drive innovation and continuous improvement. **About You** **Essential:** + Significant experience in project management within complex, fast-paced environments. + Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders. + Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with experience preparing, designing and delivering presentations and reports. + Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint). + Proficiency with leveraging generative AI tools to enhance project management, communication, and data analysis workflows. + Analytical mindset, with experience in data tracking, reporting, and dashboard creation. + Experience in budget management and vendor coordination. **Desirable:** + Project management certification (e.g., Agile, PRINCE2, Six Sigma). + Experience in people management and team leadership. + Passion for process improvement and operational excellence.\#LI-MG1 **Who we are:** At Pearson, our purpose is simple: to help people realize the life they imagine through learning.
