Project Manager, Water Conveyance

We’re looking for a Project Manager who’s passionate about making treatment systems smarter, more efficient, and easier to operate, and who’s ready to take on the challenge of managing projects while building toward more leadership. In this role, you’ll manage the day-to-day delivery of treatment plant projects, ensuring technical work stays on track, schedules are met, and communication flows between team members, subconsultants, and clients. You’ll still be close to the technical work, reviewing designs and helping solve problems, but you’ll also help lead project execution and mentor younger engineers. 


Job Summary

The Project Manager role is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to deadlines and budget by coordinating resources, defining objectives, and overseeing quality control during the project’s lifecycle as part of the overall program. 


Job Responsibilities

Manage the daily execution of water and wastewater treatment projects, ensuring deliverables stay on track and within budget.Coordinate with internal teams and subconsultants, managing schedules, task assignments, and resource needs.Support the development of project scopes, budgets, and timelines, working closely with senior leadership and technical staff.Lead design coordination efforts, reviewing technical documents for quality, consistency, and constructability.Facilitate clear and proactive communication with clients, serving as the day-to-day project contact and ensuring alignment on project goals.Assist with regulatory coordination and permitting, helping navigate agency requirements with the support of technical leads.Identify project risks early, and collaborate with team members and senior PMs to develop practical solutions.Mentor and guide junior engineers and designers, providing technical support and helping them grow into larger roles.Participate in proposal development and project scoping discussions, supporting LAN’s growth while building your own client management skills. Requirements

Required Education & Experience

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in engineering with emphasis on treatment from an accredited four-year college or universityA Professional Engineer (PE) licenseMinimum 8 years of experience in water and wastewater treatment design, with hands-on project management or task leadership exposureA knack for keeping projects organized and moving forward, from kickoff meetings to construction supportSolid understanding of industry standards, local regulations, and best practices for treatment plant design and deliveryCuriosity and a continuous learning mindset—we want someone who stays on top of the latest treatment technologies, equipment, and innovationsCollaborative spirit with a passion for mentoring younger engineers and building great project teams
