The Medical Products Technology and Innovation PMO leads initiatives and coordinates change efforts for smart pump platform implementation, connectivity, interoperability, and other digital health solutions. Our goal is to enhance our customers' ability to serve patients and advance key aspects of Baxter's strategy.
This dynamic and significant role, positioned at the intersection of medical device, connectivity, and interoperability, is crucial within Baxter’s Digital Platforms and Innovation organization. The Project Manager will report to the Associate Director of Medical Products Technology PMO and lead Baxter’s implementation of the smart pump platform, interoperability, and digital health products for the US Region. What you'll be doing:Developing, leading and implementing projects across the US related to Smart Pump Implementation and EMR InteroperabilityBringing together and analyzing business requirements to implement multi-platform hardware and software interoperability at healthcare institutionsLeading multiple projects concurrently, including projects related to Baxter’s product roadmap by partnering with the interoperability engineering team for customer critical issuesDeveloping roadmaps and project plans and presenting progress and challenges to senior leadershipLeading user acceptance testing and launch readiness with customers, EMR vendors, and other partnersIdentifying and mitigating potential project risks and resolving issues using analytical, technical, and managerial skillsCollaborating with Global Services to define the transition from project go-live to sustaining support, including critical issue pathwaysPartnering with customers, EMR, and middleware vendors to interface medical devices using HL7 specificationsWhat you'll bring:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, clinical Informatics, IT (Information Technology), or engineering disciplines preferredMinimum 7 years of project Management or healthcare information technology (HCIT) experience in the medical device industryPMP (Project Management Professional) or Agile SAFe certification preferredDemonstrated ability with electronic medical record (EMR) applications and/or clinical data sets with a proficiency with IHE profiles, HL7, and FHIR standardsProven understanding across the full project lifecycle (discovery, requirements definition, design, build, testing, deployment)Ability to work with business users and technical resources to translate project requests into final deliverablesAbility to design project artifacts (timelines, status reports, requirements documentation, test plans)Excellent written and oral communication skills, including designing and delivering presentations to internal and external audiences for feedback and alignment on project goals and strategies#LI-CH1
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $120,000-165,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
