As a Technical Project Manager, you will manage large cross-portfolio programs and projects from end-to-end. You’ll lead teams of internal & external stakeholders and technology partners to ensure projects of all sizes are completed in line with the team’s budget and timeline. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote. _At CIBC we enable the work environment most_ _optimal_ _for you to thrive in your role. To successfully perform the work,_ _you’ll_ _be on-site full-time_ _._ _You’ll_ _have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where_ _you’ll_ _spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote._ **How You’ll Succeed** + **Project Management** – Work closely with project sponsors, program managers, third-party vendors, application owners and other project managers to translate business case, strategy and objectives into approved project plans. Manage project financials of $0.5MM-$2MM. Create resource plans consisting of BAs, Solution Designers, Development, QA and Operations to support project delivery and execution. + **Issue/Risk Management -** Proactively manage issues that will take projects off schedule by identifying solution and getting stakeholder buy-in. Manage key risks and dependencies by implementing mitigation strategies; escalate issues and risks as appropriate. + **Stakeholder Management** – Communicate project status and progress to help internal and external partners make informed decisions. Comfortable to communicate in governance meetings to a broad set of audience including senior leadership and management stakeholders. + **Collaboration** – Lead teams of internal & external stakeholders and technology partners in early seed phase to perform analysis and research to determine viability of the initiative before completing a full business case. Define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities and ensuring all project team members are working towards established milestones. + **Technical Acumen** – Familiarity with the complexity of Banking IT ecosystems and architecture. A strong curiosity and desire to learn about new technology in the financial and retail banking space. **Who You Are** + **You can demonstrate 5 years experience** in Technical Project Management and have a background in application development, ideally within the banking industry. You have experience managing complex technical projects in a matrix environment and completed projects through full Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC). Previous experience of projects involving integrating multiple applications is a must have. Must be familiar with concepts such as event mesh, cluster , microservices, data service bus and have an active interest in architecture of solutions. Hands-on experience in managing project budgets and forecast and experience delivering infrastructure projects. + **You have a degree/diploma in** Computer Science, Engineering, and/or a related field of study.
