The PMO Project Manager is a member of the Project Management Office (PMO). This position leads the planning, organizing, and integration of cross-functional information technology projects to deliver specific measured results. Responsibilities include leading a team of individuals through the IT project lifecycle; the development and management of project charters/business cases, budgets, work plans, communication plans, issue logs and risk processes. Leads cross functional teams, vendors, and contractors in the completion of project related tasks. Ensuring scope changes and decision documents follow SLUHN’s PMO change management procedures and protocols. Facilitates the creation and maintenance of all project documentation.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with management and stakeholders.
+ Facilitates the drafting and submission of project budgets and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary with justifications.
+ Contributes to preparation of initial project timelines and cost estimates; benefits; feasibility; and priority for PMO review.
+ Develop full-scale project plans for approved projects and associated communications documents.
+ Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
+ Track project milestones and deliverables.
+ Proactively manage changes in project scope and develop options/contingency plans.
+ Develop and deliver status reports and project presentations as needed.
+ Facilitate definition of project success criteria, obtain approval from sponsor, and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle.

PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Sitting for up to 7 hours per day, 4 hours at a time; standing for up to 7 hours per day, 4 hours at a time; walking for up to 2 hours a day, 1 hour at a time. Seeing as it relates to general, near, color, and peripheral vision. Hearing as it relates to normal and telephone conversations.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree required in Business Administration, Communications, or Healthcare Administration (or relevant major). Project Management related certification (e.g., PMP) is preferred. If the individual does not have their PMP certification upon hire into the role, they must obtain it, or its equivalent, within one year of hire.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
+ Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience working in a team environment, with an ability to work independently with little oversight.
+ Minimum 2 years of experience working within a PMO or equivalent experience is required.
+ 2 – 4 years of financial/decision support experience is required.
+ 1 – 3 years of experience in a hospital/healthcare setting is preferred.
+ Proficiency in MS Office Suite (e.g., Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) is required.
+ Proficiency in Project Management software is required.
