Project Manager, Information Security
Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and execution-driven Information Security Project Manager to lead and deliver strategic security initiatives across the enterprise. This role will manage multiple concurrent projects in the areas of Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), IT Controls, Policy Development, Security Awareness Training, Identity & Access Management (IAM), and Vendor Management. Skills and Requirements • 5+ years of experience in Information Security or IT Project Management. • PMP or equivalent certification preferred. • Experience with policy development and security training programs. • Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. • Project Execution & Oversight • Drive end-to-end execution of security projects with defined scope and timelines. • Track progress, manage status reports, and escalate risks or blockers. • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of project milestones. • GRC & IT Controls • Support remediation efforts tied to audit findings and regulatory requirements. • Maintain standardized templates and documentation for compliance tracking. • Collaborate with audit teams to ensure alignment with state and federal standards. • Policy Development • Draft, review, and update security policies and procedures. • Ensure policies are practical, enforceable, and aligned with business objectives. • Facilitate policy onboarding for internal and third-party personnel. • Security Training • Organize and manage security awareness training sessions. • Track participation and effectiveness of training programs. • Partner with HR and IT to integrate training into onboarding workflows. • Identity & Access Management (IAM) • Assist in IAM initiatives including privileged access reviews and SailPoint implementations. • Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure secure access provisioning. • Vendor Management • Conduct contract and policy reviews for third-party vendors. • Ensure vendors meet security requirements and compliance standards.
