Do you possess a variety of technical skills and are you interested in helping people? Consider becoming U-Haul Company’s newest Project Management Technician Security Install. In this role you will help to install Cameras, door contact, motion sensors, PA speakers, Intercom, and Data cables in U-Haul facilities to aid your colleagues in providing the highest standard of service to customers. This is a traveling position through parts of GA & NC and all of SC. Monday through Thursday, 10 hour shift. In exchange, this rewarding position comes with excellent benefits

Project Management Technician Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED.

Technical aptitude and interest in electrical systems and electronics.

Good color vision for identifying and connecting wires.

Attention to detail to ensure accurate and complete installations.

Strong communication and customer service skills to explain technical information clearly.

Ability to work independently and follow instructions.

May require a valid driver's license to travel to different job sites.

Responsibility :

Installation:

Mount control panels, sensors, and cameras according to blueprints and building plans. 

Wiring:

Feed, connect, and secure electrical and telephone wiring to devices and the main system. 

Programming and Testing:

Program the system's settings and conduct thorough testing to ensure all components are working correctly. 

Customer Service:

Demonstrate the system's functionality to customers, explain how to use it, and answer any questions they have about false alarms or system features. 

Troubleshooting:

Assist with basic troubleshooting and maintenance of installed systems. 

Site Assessment:

Perform basic site assessments to determine the best placement for equipment. 

Work Environment:

The work requires observing necessary safety precautions while working around moving parts, machines for building and site maintenance. The use of protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields may be required.

Physical Demands:

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.
