Summary of Role
As a Project Engineer you will support the Project Manager to deliver Water Mist projects on time, to budget and in accordance with customer and regulatory requirements.
The responsibilities of a Project Engineer:
Contributing to project Initiation/handover meetings with all stakeholders including Sales, Design, QS.Production and maintenance of project programme.Communication with clients throughout the life of a project.Maintenance of central project file records.Attendance at internal project Cost To Complete (CTC) meetings.Completion and submission to relevant stakeholders of all end-of-project documentation e.g. O&M, As-Fitted Drawings, Certification.Ensuring installers are adequately briefed, are competent & qualified to fulfil all project requirements.Raising PORs using authorised Tier 1 suppliers.Supporting and managing of on-site resources ensuring all issues are resolved and the programme maintained.Identifying, recording & ensuring the resolution of any supplier generated non-conformities.Consulting with subject matter experts where required.Management of material and labour costs & raising of final accounts.Identification and invoicing of variations to contract.Undertaking & recording on-site inspections in accordance with EHS001 scheduled frequency.Facilitating on-site toolbox talks.Ensuring on-site understanding & adherence to all Company H&S rulesCompletion of all H&S related documentation Inc. RAMs, attendance sheets etc.What we'll need from you:
Working knowledge of engineering drawings.Experience in managing small and large budget projects (£5k to £2m) in the construction/fire protection industry.Practiced at management of on-site labour & resources.Hold a current & relevant SMSTS & CSCS Card Holder.Knowledge of CDM Management Principles.Holds a relevant NVQ/NHD/HNC/City & Guilds within Building Services or Mechanical discipline.Knowledge of production of project documentation eg. RAMs, Quality Plans, Project Plans, Cost Sheets (CTC), Trackers.Familiarity with all standard MS office applications.What we offer in return:
