About This Role

                                                                                                         

As a Project Owner (PO) at CAE, you will play a pivotal role in managing the engineering backlog for one or more projects within the International Defence and Security Portfolio. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including System and Software Architects, Project Specialists, Engineers, Military Training Experts and Product Owners – to ensure that the technical solutions align with training requirements, budget constraints and customer expectations.

This role will require a strong understanding of Agile methodologies, technical acumen, and ability to lead and influence across departments.

The role we are offering you

Define the project scope with System Architects and Technical LeadsOwn and manage a unified project backlog in JIRAMaintain alignment between technical solutions and project scopeDevelop and manage cross-departmental release plans and roadmaps

Our ideal candidate has:

Bachelor’s Degrees in Computer engineering, software engineering, electrical engineering, hardware engineering, aerospace engineering, computer science or similar degrees.Proficiency in JIRA and Agile MethodologiesProven experience as an Agile Product Owner or System Software Developer.Risk identification and mitigation expertise

Location:

Give the location and state (e.g. Homebush, NSW)We operate a hybrid working approach.

Security requirements

As the Australian Department of Defence is a major client, you must be eligible for SECRET (NV1) level Defence security clearance, and preferably already hold a current SECRET (NV1) clearance.
