**106630BR** **Job Title:** Project Engineer - Monroe, OH **Department/Function:** Operations: Manufacturing, Production, Maintenance, Utilities **Job Description:** **Project Engineer – Monroe, Ohio Nutrition Plant** This is an exempt level position. **Position Summary** As a Project Engineer at our Monroe, Ohio Nutrition Plant, you will help manage capital projects that improve facility operations. You will coordinate the design and implementation of process projects, from identifying and evaluating opportunities through authorization, installation, and commissioning. In this role, you will collaborate with ADM management, operations and maintenance teams, and third-party contractors. You will also apply your engineering skills to support day-to-day operations through troubleshooting and process improvement. **What You'll Do** + Proactively support safety, environmental, food safety, and quality programs at the facility, upholding ADM standards for all employees, contractors, and visitors + Manage projects efficiently from inception to commissioning, including developing project scope, sizing equipment, detailing P&IDs, and completing other front-end engineering tasks; request project authorization once scope is defined and coordinate completion with operations, maintenance, and third-party contractors while minimizing operational impact + Identify and recommend improvements to processes, facilities, equipment, and safety programs + Support the product development team in scaling up and transferring new products to the production floor, including participating in the planning and observation of new process startups + Facilitate change management using the Management of Change (MOC) process for both permanent and temporary changes + Assist with daily operations by troubleshooting process, equipment, and automation issues and supporting maintenance activities to minimize disruptions + Support the site EH&S coordinator with activities and small projects, gaining hands-on experience in environmental health and safety **Position Responsibilities** + A bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field, with experience in a process engineering or operations role + 2 to 5 years of relevant experience; operations experience is a plus + Project management experience or background is helpful + A strong commitment to safety + Demonstrated problem-solving skills + Strong written and verbal communication skills + Ability to work closely with site departments + Knowledge of process unit operations including distillation, reaction, and filtration + Ability to anticipate challenges and develop options to overcome them **Working Conditions & Physical Requirements** This role includes regular time on the production floor where chemical operations are ongoing. Conditions may vary seasonally, with warmer temperatures in summer and cooler in winter. The role also requires the ability to: + Move throughout the facility, including climbing stairs, using ladders, kneeling, and bending + Work at heights + Wear a respirator when required + Lift and transport materials weighing up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally; team members are encouraged to request assistance for anything over 50 lbs + Walk or stand for 1–3 hours at a time Excited about this role but don’t think you meet every requirement listed?
