Project Engineer IV
Overview 100% Remote position based in the US (occasional on-site meetings in Houston)
As a Power Generation Consultant, you will be an integral part of a team dedicated to developing cutting-edge power generation projects. You will support internal stakeholders and spearhead engagement with external Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractors. Your role will involve providing unbiased, continuous input to enhance plant performance and cost efficiency through system modeling and techno-economic analysis. You will play a crucial role in maturing project designs and formulating effective procurement strategies. Your expertise in proposal writing, subject matter expertise (SME), communication skills, supply chain management (SCM), and process optimization will be essential. Additionally, you will manage procurement processes, oversee system integration, and ensure the efficient operation of transmission systems. Your responsibilities will also include cost estimation, design and evaluation of solar energy systems, and heat exchanger design. You will conduct performance evaluations and manage capital expenditures (CapEx) while utilizing assembly language programming and reporting & analytics tools like SigmaXL. Your skills in tooling design and logistics management will further contribute to the successful execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities
•    Develop and write proposals for Power Generation.
•    Provide subject matter expertise in Power Generation to support project development.
•    Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners, including OEMs and EPCs.
•    Manage supply chain activities to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services.
•    Optimize processes to enhance plant performance and cost efficiency.
•    Lead procurement activities, including strategy development and vendor management.
•    Integrate various systems within the power generation project to ensure seamless operation.
•    Oversee the management and maintenance of transmission systems.
•    Perform accurate cost estimation for project budgeting and financial planning.
•    Apply knowledge of solar energy systems to complement Power Generation.
•    Design and evaluate heat exchangers for optimal thermal performance.
•    Conduct performance evaluations to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of systems.
•    Manage capital expenditure (CapEx) to ensure financial prudence and project viability.
•    Utilize assembly language programming skills for system-level programming tasks.
•    Generate detailed reports and analytics using SigmaXL for data-driven decision-making.

Required Qualifications
•    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
•    Minimum of 5 years of experience in ORCsystem projects or related power generation fields.
•    Proven expertise in ORC (Organic Rankine Cycle) engineering and project development.
•    Strong communication skills to effectively engage with internal stakeholders and external partners, including OEMs and EPCs.
•    Experience in managing supply chain activities and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
•    Ability to optimize processes for enhanced plant performance and cost efficiency.
•    Demonstrated experience in leading procurement activities and vendor management.
•    Proficiency in integrating various systems within power generation projects.
•    Experience in managing and maintaining transmission systems.
•    Strong skills in cost estimation for project budgeting and financial planning.
•    Knowledge of solar energy systems is a plus.
•    Experience in designing and evaluating heat exchangers for optimal thermal performance.
•    Ability to conduct performance evaluations to assess system efficiency and effectiveness.
•    Experience in managing capital expenditure (CapEx) for financial prudence and project viability.
