**Vascular Division Clonmel**
Abbott Vascular is one of the world's leading vascular care businesses. Our broad line of vascular devices–which includes vessel closure, endovascular and coronary technologies–are used to treat vessel diseases of the heart, carotid arteries, and peripheral blood vessels. These vessel diseases can lead to heart attack, stroke, critical limb ischemia, and other serious vascular conditions.
**We are currently looking for a Project Engineer join our modern site in Clonmel.**
**Make an Impact as a Project Engineer**
In this role, you’ll play a key part in driving the performance, quality, and efficiency of our manufacturing operations. You’ll take ownership of critical engineering metrics and lead process‑improvement initiatives that enhance Manufacturing Yield, strengthen product quality, and streamline operations through lean methodologies.
As a core member of our operations support team, you’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across Operations, Quality, R&D, Materials, and Purchasing to ensure our manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
**What You’ll Do**
+ Lead and deliver technical activities that result in new or improved products and processes—supporting current programs, next‑generation initiatives, and long‑term strategic goals.
+ Prepare clear, insightful reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
+ Tackle engineering challenges ranging from routine issues to highly complex problems requiring innovative thinking and breakthrough solutions.
+ Apply strong engineering principles, theories, and practices to guide decision‑making and problem‑solving.
+ Understand the broader business landscape, including customer needs, market trends, and emerging technologies.
+ Build and leverage internal and external networks to support project success.
+ Support onboarding and training of new engineers and team members.
+ Lead project teams when required, setting goals, defining objectives, and ensuring successful execution.
+ Mentor colleagues by sharing technical expertise, offering constructive feedback, and fostering professional growth.
+ Work cross‑functionally and engage directly with internal and external customers.
+ Provide expert engineering or scientific guidance on significant technical matters.
+ Represent the business unit to customers, showcasing current capabilities and future potential.
+ Participate in validation activities—ranging from providing input to owning protocol/report development and overseeing execution.
**What You Bring**
+ A National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) Level 7 degree (full credits) in a relevant discipline.
+ 2+ years of related experience, or an equivalent blend of education and hands‑on work.
+ A solid foundation in engineering concepts, practices, and procedures, with a willingness to continue learning.
+ Ability to apply professional concepts and company policies to solve routine problems.
+ A growing internal network and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
