Reporting to the Manager Operational Excellence & Project Manager, the **Project** **Engineer** is responsible for coordinating and executing medium to high complexity engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery, technical compliance, and customer satisfaction.
This position is part of the Operational Excellence & Project Management team located in **CDMX** and will be **hybrid (4 days in the office, 1 remote)** . Candidates are expected to travel 1 week per month to customer´s sites.
**In this role, a typical day will include:**
+ Selection, installation, and commissioning of HACH instruments for monitoring parameters such as chlorine, turbidity, pH, ORP, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, COD, BOD, ammonia, nitrates, heavy metals, among others.
+ Integration of sensors and automatic analyzers (sc200, sc1000, Amtax, Phosphax, BioTector) into SCADA and PLC systems using protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, HART, Ethernet/IP.
+ Technical support for projects involving drinking water treatment plants, wastewater, reuse, and industrial processes.
+ Interpretation of technical datasheets, proposal documentation, and schedule management.
+ Customer training, equipment validation, and post-sales support.
+ The project engineer is also responsible for the supervision, control, and management of external suppliers involved in the projects.
**Essential job requirements:**
+ Degree in chemical, environmental, electronic, automation engineering, or related fields.
+ Deep knowledge of analytical instrumentation and project management.
+ Experience in integrating control systems (SCADA, PLC) and industrial protocols.
+ Ability to perform field testing, commissioning, and technical documentation.
+ Intermediate to advanced English (technical reading and international collaboration).
+ Availability to travel one week per month – depending on ongoing projects.
**Preferred qualifications:**
+ Official HACH certifications.
+ Training in water chemistry and industrial automation.
+ Knowledge of standards such as NOM, EPA, ISO 17025.
+ Experience in customer service and project management.
