Onsite – Wolverhampton, GBRJoin Moog Military Aircraft Group Wolverhampton as a Project Engineer and become a vital part of our dynamic Military Product Engineering Team! In this exciting role, you'll drive innovation through New Product Introduction (NPI) and lead impactful product improvements for cutting-edge primary flight control systems. You'll blend project management expertise with hands-on technical support and process enhancement, working closely within our Assembly & Test workshop to ensure excellence and precision. Responsibilities Include
This role has a balance of technical support and project management and is key to the success of the Product Engineering team.Managing internal and external stakeholder relationships.Ensure Moog’s Product Engineering Common Development Process is followed during project planning and execution.On time project delivery to budget, with regular reporting to management.Running more than one project simultaneously spanning across the OE and Aftermarket businesses.Writing of detailed work instructions and technical support for the assembly and repair of complex assemblies when required.Identification and implementation of improvement initiatives.Control Account Manager (CAM) for key projects.Contribute towards bid activities.Represent the Product Engineering department during project/programme reviews.
Essential Skills and Experience:
A degree in a relevant engineering discipline such as Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing Engineering or Mechatronics.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills as well as Project Management abilities and technical knowledge.Excellent negotiation skills along with business awareness.An appreciation of New Product Introduction (NPI) Processes and its application to an aerospace product life cycle.Experience of working within an aerospace or complex engineering environment for at least 5 years.Project management experience including planning, resourcing, monitoring, and risk management.Possesses the ability to work with and lead a multi-disciplined project team.Use of MS Project is required.Comfortable with running multiple projects in parallel.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
PMP or PRINCE2 qualification.Familiarity with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).An understanding of hydraulic actuation components.Experience of having successfully led complex assembly projects through production readiness.Aftermarket experience.The willingness and ability to train others.Experience with SAP and Solumina.
