We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer for our client in the oil and gas industry to lead engineering support for forestry field activities, focusing on civil and building projects in the dynamic operations of a major industry player in Papua New Guinea.
Role Overview
Prepare scopes of work and oversee procurement and management of civil and facilities contracts. Monitor and manage budgets for manpower, contracts, and works. Collaborate with various business areas to optimize resource utilization. Enforce safety, environmental, and health standards in all operations. Contribute to the development of company systems, policies, and procedures. Outline proposals for access, roading, and drainage requirements. Issue and review technical requirements for construction proposals. Develop facilities, site offices, and living areas while ensuring compliance with regulations. Prepare and maintain construction programs for timely project delivery. Procure construction services and manage implementation contractors. Oversee facilities management of field bases, including power and water provisions. Support the Silviculture team in managing property and access at plantations.Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 5 - 10 years of experience in project management or civil engineering. Significant experience in multi-disciplined teams with similar responsibilities.Pay & Benefits
