Job Summary
Project Engineer leads and coordinates the engineering design and evaluation processing during all phases of specific managed projects, from concept, through design to execution. Is the point of contact for client relations.
Job Responsibilities
Supervise and lead project assignments with project staff. Manages and perform system design, including calculations, equipment selection, layout, and drawing preparation. Plan and conduct evaluation and site observation. Review project documents, specifications, and design options; ensure code compliance through meetings and reviews. Make recommendations based on findings.Conduct site investigations and technical research to support design decisions. Apply standard engineering practices and software tools to produce high-quality deliverables. Build and develop internal and external relationships RequirementsRequired Education & Experience
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university8+ years’ experience in the field or a related areaValid driver’s licenseSolid understanding of Structural Engineering Fundamentals; Ability to provide hand calculations to back up results from engineering software models.Preferred Software skills: STAAD.Pro, SAP 2000, RISA, ABAQUS, LS-DYNA, AutoCAD, Civ 3D, RevitPort, Marine and Dam experience preferred Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE)Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc.
