Job DescriptionWe're looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative Project Engineer, Electrical to join our dynamic team in Bangkok, Thailand. In this role, you will take ownership of electrical engineering projects from conception through completion, ensuring exceptional quality, adherence to safety standards, and timely delivery. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize electrical systems for building and infrastructure projects while maintaining transparency and driving innovation throughout the project lifecycle.
Lead and coordinate electrical engineering projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements, industry standards, and local Thai electrical codes and regulationsDevelop, review, and optimize electrical system designs, calculations, and specifications for building and infrastructure projectsCollaborate effectively with architects, mechanical engineers, construction managers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems into comprehensive project designsPerform detailed engineering calculations and analysis to enhance electrical system performance, efficiency, and reliabilityPrepare, review, and maintain technical documentation including drawings, specifications, reports, and authority submissionsEnsure full compliance with local codes, regulations, safety standards, and authority requirements throughout all project phasesConduct regular site visits to assess existing conditions, monitor installation progress, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide on-site supportManage project timelines, budgets, and resources while maintaining organized documentation and transparent communication with all stakeholdersIdentify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success and stakeholder satisfactionSupport team members and mentor junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environmentQualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution (Master's degree preferred)4-8 years of professional design experience in building or infrastructure projects, with demonstrated expertise in large-scale projectsProven experience in M&E infrastructure design, particularly in metro, railway, or similar complex systemsStrong proficiency in electrical design software, including AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, or equivalent toolsComprehensive knowledge of electrical design theory, principles, and best practicesSolid understanding of Thai electrical codes, standards, and authority submission proceduresExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and accuracyDemonstrated project management and coordination capabilities with proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively across cross-functional teamsExperience with budget management, resource allocation, and schedule optimizationWillingness to travel for site visits, client meetings, and project inspections as requiredAbility to work on a 2-year employment contractStrong organizational skills, resilience, and ability to adapt to changing project requirementsAdditional InformationAbout AECOM
