Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Project Director to lead the successful delivery of a high-profile program involving the relocation and development of complex multi-sector facilities. This leadership role requires deep expertise in planning, coordination, and execution of program management consultancy services across diverse built asset environments. The Project Director will be responsible for end-to-end oversight, including stakeholder engagement, project controls, technical governance, and team leadership. This includes alignment with overarching program strategies, delivery assurance, and compliance with client expectations, contract requirements, and regulatory frameworks. 

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

Serve as the single point of accountability for the successful delivery of the program. 

Lead the planning and execution of project management consultancy services across preconstruction, design, procurement, construction, and handover phases. 

Oversee the development of key project documentation including the Project Execution Plan, risk registers, reporting frameworks, and delivery schedules. 

Act as the principal interface with all project stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and alignment with the client’s strategic objectives. 

Direct internal project teams and coordinate with external consultants and contractors to ensure performance delivery in line with scope, time, and quality benchmarks. 

Champion the implementation of program controls (schedule, cost, change, risk), value engineering initiatives, and quality assurance protocols. 

Support procurement strategy development and supervise procurement execution for design and construction packages. 

Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and sustainability objectives throughout the project lifecycle. 

Provide leadership for the demobilization, relocation, and operational transition strategy. 

Drive integration with parallel programs to ensure cohesive delivery across interfaces. 

Report progress to executive leadership and provide strategic recommendations for resolution of major issues. 

EDUCATION & SPECIFIC ROLE REQUIREMENTS: 

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related discipline is required; Master’s degree is preferred. 

Chartered status (e.g., CEng, PMP, ChPP) is preferred. 

Minimum 25 years of relevant experience, including 10+ years in leadership roles on major building and infrastructure projects. 

Strong track record delivering complex, multi-phase programs involving multiple stakeholders and interdependent scopes. 

Prior experience in leading large-scale program management assignments within KSA or GCC is highly desirable. 

Proven experience in managing multidisciplinary project teams, including engineering, construction, commissioning, and handover activities. 

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES: 

Effective oral and written skills for client presentations, technical reporting, and internal / external correspondence; Ability to effectively present information to key stakeholders as required by the client 

Understanding of the construction management at risk alternative delivery process and the functions inherent to construction management of large-scaled projects 

Understanding of budget development and cost accounting 

Ability to manage and encourage a team of construction management professionals 

Ability to interface with all levels with project team, client, and others 

Knowledge of construction contract negotiation and administration 

Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents 

Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints 

Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of support function problems 

Ability to function in a multi-organizational environment by developing relationships that complies with the client’s proactive, collaborative culture.
