Kforce has a client in Saint Louis, MO that is seeking a Project Cost Manager. Responsibilities: * Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring alignment with project goals and financial objectives * Track and control project costs throughout the project lifecycle to maintain budget accuracy * Establish cost baselines and regularly update forecasts to anticipate variances and ensure project financial health * Maintain accurate and detailed records of all project expenditures, ensuring full compliance with internal policies * Perform cost variance analysis to identify discrepancies between planned and actual spending, and work with project teams to address budget overruns or inefficiencies * Support financial forecasting efforts and refine cost estimates based on actual projectperformance and trends * Review invoices to ensure costs, both internal and external, are coded correctly to the appropriate projects and accounted for accurately as capital expenditures (CapEx) or operating expenses (OpEx) * Work closely with project leads to review details of project vendor invoices, ensuring the work was performed as agreed and goods or services were received before approval for payment * Prepare timely and accurate project cost reports, providing insights into project financial performance and highlighting key cost drivers * Communicate financial data to project managers, senior management, and sponsors, translating complex information into clear, concise insights * Develop and deliver presentations on project cost status, forecasts and ROI performance to project sponsors and executive leadership * Assess and report on whether project ROI goals were met by analyzing cost-benefit data, project outcomes, and financial performance * Conduct variance analysis between targeted and actual ROI, providing actionable insights and recommendations for future project improvements
