Project Coordinator
Job Title: Field Service Project Coordinator

Job Description

The Project Coordinator will provide essential support for the Field Service Department within the Oil & Gas sector. This role involves managing tasks to support individual field service projects and contributing to the development of the department. The position offers a career progression path to Project Manager. Knowledge of welding equipment and processes, as well as experience in oil & gas or petrochemical industries, is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Travel to and from projects to manage day-to-day project coordination responsibilities.Act as the direct point of contact between customers and the field service foreman and technicians.Understand and manage the technical details of project-specific installations to identify and solve potential challenges.Develop installation plan documentation and initiate procedures with the QC and Safety Departments.Coordinate between Engineering, Sales, and Projects for upcoming and ongoing project-specific changes.Coordinate project tooling and materials with the warehouse, manage shipments to and from job sites, and arrange delivery and pick-up of rental equipment.Review manning availability and coordinate project staffing.Implement and review all field service procedures with the Field Service Project Manager and technicians.Update online platforms for field service personnel, project documentation, and timekeeping.Coordinate pre- and post-mobilization activities, including organizing flights and hotel accommodations for the field service group.Create invoices for customers and ensure timely billing.Communicate scheduling updates to customers as directed by the Field Service Project Manager.Track and log project hours daily in customers' third-party administration systems.Dispatch and close out union employees from the union hall.Maintain and file all field service-related paperwork promptly.Support project closeouts with evaluation forms and follow-up on customer satisfaction.Work with purchasing to place orders for field service consumables as directed by the Field Service Project Manager.Collect receipts and expenses of field employees for proper tracking to aid in efficient invoicing.

Essential Skills

Ability to obtain a TWIC.Project management experience in the construction industry.Technical knowledge in engineering.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.Proficiency in reading engineering drawings.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Refinery experience is a plus.Experience with project administration and coordination.Strong communication skills.Familiarity with engineering documentation.

Work Environment

This role is based in the office located in the Sorrento Valley area of San Diego, with travel required as needed per project or client. The company provides training and mentoring, offering opportunities to progress within the company along the Project Management route. The company specializes in critical application expansion joints for the oil & gas and petrochemical industries, providing a range of onsite services including specialty welding, online hot expansion joint inspections, emergency leak repairs, and clamshell expansion joint design and installation.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.
