The Project Coordinator is located in Darlington and typically reports directly to the Program Manager. The Project Coordinator is an integral member of the project team responsible for delivering modification projects of varying size and complexity. The Project Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating project activities from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget, and dealing with project changes under the direction of a Project Manager (PM) & Program Manager (PgM).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To plan, in conjunction with the Project Manager, to execute projects in accordance with Corporate Policy; managing all day-to-day project managementAssist the PM in the drafting and issuance of project plans, budget, cash flow and preliminary scheduleAssist the PM in material procurement, coordination and delivery to the construction teamPrepare project organization and communication chartsSupport the project management team in coordinating project planning activitiesSupport the PM in leading the project organization and assign the work activities throughout the project lifecycleChair project meetings and distribute minutes to all project team members Track the progress and quality of work being performed by design disciplines/trades Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor projects plans, work hours, budgets, and expendituresPrepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clientsReview work/contracts/WIP for areas of risk and correct deficienciesEffectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the client and project teamMaintain Contract Execution Tracking Log Track & manage contemplated change notices and change orders in the database Prepare substantial completion certificates and ensure all required project close- out documents are obtained Keep the Project Manager (PM) and others informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations Work with project management team to develop tools and templatesImplement processes and procedures and conduct training sessions when necessaryCoordinate all project management, engineering, and construction activitiesSupport the project management team in monitoring project performance (cost, schedule, quality) and assist in completing and distributing regular project reports (including issues, status, and KPI’s) to key stakeholdersSupport the coordination of project close-out activities and transfer to operationsMaintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholdersEnsure clients’ needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner Interface between various internal stakeholders (project services, engineering, procurement, construction, quality)Communicate ideas for improving company processes with a positive and constructive attitudeCOMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors’ Degree, Diploma, Certificate or relatedWORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
2+ years of experience as a Project Coordinator role or equivalent for nuclear power plant industry or related construction/industrial projectsExperience on projects engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) scopes preferredExperience on OPG AS9, Engineering Change Control (ECC) and Work Management process preferredSKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Basic understanding or project management, engineering and construction processes, procedures and relevant softwareStrong interpersonal, communication, organization and analytical skillsProficient in MS Project and/or Primavera and the MS Office Suite of products Proficient in MS Visio to create daily project logic and timelines for clientEffective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team based environment Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities A Client Security Clearance will be requiredWORK PERKS & BENEFITS
