The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the Shipyard Modernization Office (SMO) as an Action Officer in bringing technology to the Shipyards. This position offers high visibility and the opportunity to influence at high levels within NAVSEA and the Shipyards. Serve as a thought partner to executive-level customers, providing strategic insights and solutions.
Work site is primarily on the customer site; on occasion at the CACI site or home site (with prior arrangements).
Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact between various stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, and internal teams. Ensure all actions align with overall objectives.
Facilitate communication and coordination among different departments and offices to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
Develop briefs, presentations, and materials to support shipyard modernization efforts.
Prepare detailed reports, status updates, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
Assist in the planning, execution, and oversight of large modernization projects.
Engage with stakeholders to build and maintain strong and trusting relationships. The selected candidate must demonstrate a deep understanding of our customer and the business needs associated with this type of role.
Gather requirements, provide updates, and solicit feedback.
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to shipyard modernization.
Identify training needs and coordinate with appropriate resources to address them.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiencies within project workflows.
Implement best practices and lessons learned from previous projects.
Support the execution of contract requirements, which may include submission of supporting data and metrics and timely completion of written reports to stakeholders, customers, and CACI leadership.

Qualifications:
Required:
Must be a United States Citizen. Must have the ability to obtain a DOD Interim Secret security clearance and subsequent final DOD Secret security clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field and 5 years of directly applicable work experience. In lieu of the degree requirement, candidates with minimum 9 years of directly applicable work experience may be considered for this position.
Minimum 3 years of work experience in project management, managing large scale, complex, high visibility projects.
Experience working within a Department of Defense environment; specific experience within NAVSEA highly desired.
Strong customer service orientation and written/verbal communication skills with the ability to respectfully engage internal and external customers at all levels in a manner that achieves successful outcomes.
Outstanding organizational skills to efficiently manage competing priorities, multiple concurrent taskings, and firm deadlines.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365.
Desired:
Certified PMI Project Management Professional (PMP).
Change Management certification (Prosci/ADKAR preferred).
Project management experience specifically in technology, modernization, and/or innovation.
Strong understanding of the inner workings of NAVSEA 04.
Work experience with the Naval Maintenance Community, United States Navy, or the Department of Defense.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
