Project Coordinator
**Description** Become part of an inclusive organization with over 40,000 teammates, whose mission is to improve the health and well-being of the unique communities we serve. **Job Summary:** The Project Coordinator plays a key role in supporting two senior Vice Presidents by organizing, managing, and executing healthcare-related projects. While the position includes some administrative responsibilities, the primary focus (over 50% of the time) is on coordinating cross-functional initiatives that support clinical, operational, and strategic goals within a healthcare environment. **Key Responsibilities:** + **Project Planning & Coordination** + Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to develop workflows and processes that align with healthcare project objectives. + Review project proposals and deliverables with stakeholders to establish realistic timelines, resource needs, and compliance considerations. + **Stakeholder Communication & Engagement** + Serve as a liaison between departments, providers, vendors, and leadership to ensure timely updates, issue resolution, and alignment with organizational priorities. + Draft and distribute clear, concise communications and project updates to internal and external stakeholders. + **Project Monitoring & Documentation** + Track project milestones, timelines, and deliverables; proactively adjust schedules to meet evolving needs. + Maintain accurate documentation, including meeting notes, project files, and compliance records. + Manage document control and database systems to ensure accessibility and version control. + **Meeting & Calendar Management** + Coordinate project-related meetings, including logistics, travel arrangements, and expense reporting. + Support executive calendars and logistics with discretion and foresight and ensure alignment of project timelines with leadership availability. + Prepare and edit presentations, charts, and visual materials for clinical and operational audiences. + **Reporting & Follow-Up** + Assist in planning sessions and follow up on action items to ensure accountability. + Monitor project progress and prepare status reports, dashboards, and performance summaries. Preferred Experience and Education: + Bachelors degree and 3 years of directly related project coordinator experience in a healthcare setting + Proven experience in project coordination or operations + Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem solving skills + Ability to manage multiple high-stakes projects with minimal oversight in a fast-paced environment. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project management platforms, and data reporting tools + A mindset of ownership and continuous improvement + Other Information **Education Requirements:** ● Associate's degree in an appropriate discipline or equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience. **Professional Experience Requirements:** ● If bachelors, 1 year of administrative/office support or 6 months of project related support. ● If an Associate's degree, three (3) years of experience providing project-related support. ● If a high school diploma/GED, seven (7) years of experience providing project-related support. **Job Details** Legal Employer: NCHEALTH Entity: Shared Services Organization Unit: System Operations Admin Work Type: Full Time Standard Hours Per Week: 40.00 Salary Range: $24.73 - $35.56 per hour (Hiring Range) Pay offers are determined by experience and internal equity Work Assignment Type: Hybrid Work Schedule: Day Job Location of Job: US:NC:Morrisville Exempt From Overtime: Exempt: Yes This position is employed by NC Health (Rex Healthcare, Inc., d/b/a NC Health), a private, fully-owned subsidiary of UNC Health Care System, in a department that provides shared services to operations across UNC Health Care; except that, if you are currently a UNCHCS State employee already working in a designated shared services department, you may remain a UNCHCS State employee if selected for this job.
