We are seeking a Project Controls Professional with a strong foundation in design and construction coordination, ideally within the electric distribution infrastructure sector. This role will support Project Managers, Engineering, and field teams in delivering high-impact utility projects, including Distributed Automation initiatives and the installation of reclosers to enhance grid reliability and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination & Controls
Support Project Managers in tracking project scope, schedule, and budget. Coordinate with construction teams to ensure alignment between design intent and field execution. Monitor project milestones and proactively identify and mitigate risks or delays.Design & Technical Support
Apply design knowledge to support multiple electric distribution infrastructure projects. Assist in the planning and implementation of Distributed Automation systems and recloser installations. Assess the planning scope for viability and furnish solutions.Permitting & Land Rights
Manage permitting processes and coordinate with internal permitting teams. Assist in securing land rights and ensuring compliance with regulatory and environmental requirements. Coordinate between engineering and planning departments if environmental or land rights issues arise.Materials & Logistics
Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials and equipment. Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to maintain supply chain efficiency.Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
Act as a liaison between customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders. Facilitate communication and resolve issues to maintain project momentum.Scheduling & Reporting
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules. Generate reports and dashboards to communicate progress, risks, and resource needs. Track multiple projects progress with detailed notes.Qualifications:
Experience in project controls, preferably in electric utility or infrastructure projects. Familiarity with Distributed Automation, reclosers, and electric distribution systems. Experience with permitting, land rights, and utility design standards. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar).Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field
