Project Coordinator
Tammy Boyko and Carlan Wilbon with Aplin have an immediate remote contract opportunity for an experienced Project Coordinator to join a government client based in Winnipeg. This role begins as a 6-month contract, with a strong potential to extend up to 24 months in total.

The Project Coordinator will support Project and Program Managers with day-to-day project management tasks, including scheduling, documentation, and coordination of activities to ensure project success.

Schedule, attend and participate in planning and collaboration meetingsDocument and follow up on important actions and decisions from meetingsSupport the project/program managers in the preparation of necessary presentation materialsSupport the project/program managers in ensuring that project deadlines are metProvide administrative support as neededUndertake project tasks as requiredMaintain program management artefacts in alignment with the established program management framework and methodologiesEnsuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriatelyProvide support for program governance activitiesCo-ordinate and contribute to reporting and briefing materials for various levels of managementSupport project/program managers in the identification and management of issues and risksSupport project/program managers in planning and tracking project activities using collaboration management toolsCreate and maintain comprehensive supporting documentation as requiredRequired Qualifications
Experience providing program co-ordination support for a large, diverse program with an established program management frameworkExperience tracking project/program budget and scheduleExperience with coordinating and contributing to reporting and briefing materialsStrong political acumenExcellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skillsStrong interpersonal skills capable of maintaining strong relationshipsStrong presentation, verbal and written communication skillsStrong organization and multitasking skillsAbility to pay attention to detail and think aheadA team player with a track record for meeting deadlines and delivering high profile complex initiativesExperience in the use of collaboration management tools such as Microsoft TeamsExperienced user of MS Office toolset including Microsoft project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and TeamsKnowledge of Project Management best practicesCriminal record check is required Preferred QualificationsExperience as a Project Coordinator in Public SectorCertification from project management accreditation body such as PMI (Project management Institute) or PRINCE2
