The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Operations Center (NOC) defends, manages, and monitors the network operating status and cyber security posture of the VA by providing the day-to-day management, monitoring, operations, and configuration of the Trusted Internet Connection (TIC) Gateways, the delivery of enterprise security systems and services, the conduct of threat and vulnerability analysis, the validation of adequate security controls within the enterprise, and the full range of functions across the spectrum of activities relating to incident management, incident response and enterprise network management.
ResponsibilitiesGovCIO is currently hiring a Project Coordinator to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Project Management team and VA Executive staff on day-to-day operations, assist project plans on meeting deadlines, and reaching milestones along with collaboration with other team managers and stakeholders to establish efficient team utilization.
Responsibilities
Organizes and visualizes NEDIIS organizational team’s workCaptures notes, themes, and action items from meetings and discussions and determines next stepsInteract daily with GovCIO Project Managers and VA Executive management to interpret their needs and requirements.Collaborate on road map to lay out short- and long-term goals and account for deviations resulting in potential schedule changesMaintain existing and develop new processes and procedures to improve intra and inter-team operability and communication.Enforce GovCIO, VA NOC, and intra-team policies and performance standards.Liaison between different different pillars within the VA Organization pillars as well as NEDIIS Organizational PillarsMonitor tasks and project status.Knowledge of Project Management methodologies and techniques.Organize and schedule administrative appointmentsPlan Coordinates and schedules meetingsAssist in the preparation of reportAssist in accomplishing action items for Program Management, Pillar Leads or VA Executive staffEnsures action items and milestones are fully documented, are being worked satisfactorily, and completed as plannedProblem solver who assesses requests, determines the necessary tasks, then organizes the team to successfully accomplish the workFlexibility, ingenuity, creativity, diplomacy, and a willingness to learn and adaptProficient in use of Microsoft tools – PowerPoint, MS Teams, Word, and ExcelKnowledge of office management systems and proceduresExcellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize workAttention to detail, problem-solving, active listening skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field with 5-8 years of experience. 5 years of additional experience may be substituted for a degree.Experience with large IT enterprise environmentsExperience with Federal contractingMust be able to pass and maintain a Tier 4 (BI) Government Background InvestigationAbility to achieve a PMP certification within 6 months of hire

Posted Pay Range
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process.
