The Idaho Transportation Department is seeking a Project Coordinator for the DMV, located at the DMV HQ campus in Boise, ID. This role is designed to assist county DMV offices with the usage of a drivers’ license system, training, communication, coordination of regional county engagement teams, and other related tasks. Applicants should be proactive and self-driven. Travel will be required. This is an exciting opportunity that allows individuals to build positive relationships and contribute to the advancement of the department's goals through liaison activities. Note: If selected, this position requires an ISP criminal background check prior to a final job offer being extended. Example of Duties: + Most activities will directly assist with the registration and issuance of driver’s licenses. + Provide training and instruction to individuals and groups in DMV Systems. + Provide program and policy guidance for county agents. + Work as liaison between DMV HQ and district county DMV offices. + Frequently act as the initial contact for county agents, directing technical and operational assistance to the relevant DMV HQ customer support. Occasionally provides direct technical support to county agents regarding DMV systems. + Organize, schedule, and prepare meetings for county regional engagement teams. This includes establishing the agenda, gathering feedback, following up on action items, taking meeting minutes, and facilitating discussions. + Share business practice innovations across DMV offices. + Ensure compliance with Idaho Statute, IDAPA, policy and procedures. + Verify that county agents fulfill state, division, and department training requirements. + Work together with end users, technical personnel, and subject matter experts to develop program solutions. + Schedule DMV office visits. + Expectation of approximately 50% travel using an ITD vehicle. + Additional responsibilities as directed by the DMV Policy and Stakeholder Engagement Manager or the Management Team. Minimum Qualifications (Experience): + Planning and implementing projects: Minimum requirement met by at least 6 months of experience planning and implementing projects. + Developing, promoting and gaining project support: Minimum requirement met by at least 6 months of experience developing, promoting, and gaining project support. + Interpreting and explaining specialized or complex material into information usable by the public: Minimum requirement met by at least 6 months of experience interpreting and explaining specialized or complex material into information usable by the public Desirable Qualifications: + Familiarity with the state's GEM registration and titling system. + Experience in the registration and issuance of driver's licenses. + Well-versed in public speaking and providing training. + Has a high level of emotional awareness and can effectively influence stakeholders.
