**Job Description**
**AECOM** is looking to hire a Project Controls Supervisor to oversee Project Controls staff within our East Environment Business line. The role is set up to be remote for qualified candidates already residing within the United States of America.
The Project Controls Supervisor will report directly to the Director of Operations (DOO), will serve as the Supervisor for our onshore Project Controls team, and be the primary liaison for our offshore (EC) Project Controls team (collectively, PC Team). The Project Controls Supervisor will work closely with our Project Delivery Leads (PDLs), Project Managers (PMs), and Finance team to ensure appropriate project controls resources are assigned for each project/PM. The Project Controls Supervisor will be responsible for the continuous training of the PC Team so that our PMs are supported for successful project delivery. The Project Controls Supervisor will support the DOO in meeting Business Line objectives in the areas of financial profitability, project delivery, risk management, commercial terms evaluation, and budgeting and forecasting. This person will also be responsible for building our EC Project Controls team, which will include interviewing candidates in partnership with EC leaders and providing performance feedback.
The ideal candidate for this opportunity has a natural drive and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders, both internally and externally. The ideal Project Controls Supervisor must have the ability to present information in a confident and concise manner to stakeholders. This opportunity requires someone who enjoys building relationships, training, is a team player, works with the PDLs, PMs, and Finance to achieve success, operates and responds in a fast-paced environment with less than complete information, is well-organized to understand priorities, and is familiar with project challenges for various scopes and contract types.
The job responsibilities of this position will include but are not limited to:
+ Accountability for providing Project Controls support for the planning, safe execution, and delivery of Environment projects at As Sold or better financial KPIs and in accordance with the East Environment Proposal and Pricing Guidance.
+ Supervising and training a Project Controls team.
+ Serving as Project Controls support across a portfolio of projects/PMs and providing proactive and hands-on support to project managers. This includes analyzing project costs, billings and schedules, trouble-shooting problems both common and unique, supporting mitigation measures, and being “root cause oriented” in the resolution of issues.
+ Ensuring appropriate scheduling tools and processes are in use by the project team.
+ Providing support to Project Managers by:
+ Fully understanding applicable contracts and associated risks
+ Participating in project reviews covering scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, resourcing, and client-focused agenda topics
+ Assisting PMs with proactive management of change (cost, revenue budget, schedule, etc.)
+ Supporting PMs with timely and accurate Estimate-at-Completion (EAC) preparation and review
+ Working with the PDLs and PMs to drive data quality index to 0%
+ Identifying and implementing appropriate tools to track physical % complete and translate to Earned Value Management.
+ Partnering with Finance to deliver successful projects.
+ Fostering career growth of project controls staff.
+ Supporting project managers and project team members with invoicing and cash collection strategy. Reviewing unbilled/accounts receivable portfolios and making recommendations for improved performance to drive appropriate Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
+ Assist with communicating consistent project management practices and procedures in alignment with AECOM PM requirements, quality and East Environment guidance.
+ Participating in various User Acceptance testing for our internal project/financial management tools
**Qualifications**
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
+ BA/BS + 6+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
+ Minimum 6 years of experience with project/financial management software and tools, specifically Oracle.
+ Minimum of 6 years of experience providing project controls support at an environmental/engineering consulting firm.
+ Due to the nature of work, U.S. Citizenship is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Recent experience providing project controls support, including the monitoring of scope, schedule, and budget.
+ Understanding of scheduling concepts and earned value management and Cost Work Revenue Recognition methodology
+ Experience with multiple types of contracts – Fixed-Price, Fixed Unit Rates, Cost-Reimbursable (T&M), Performance-Based, Target-Price with Incentive, etc.
+ Change facilitator with an ability to promote best practices and coach & mentor staff through change. Leader who thinks and acts globally, engaging the best and most appropriate AECOM project controls resources on projects.
+ Understanding of AECOM financial systems, procedures, and policies (internal candidates)
+ Conducts or assists in project performance measurement and associated cost trending.
+ Works independently with latitude to determine work priorities and receives guidance on overall project objectives

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $90,000 to $120,000.
