Airswift is seeking a Project Controls Lead III for a temporary and rotational contract in Guyana (28-day onshore rotation) with a leading company in the energy sector. This is a one-year assignment with the possibility of extension for an additional year.

This professional will be responsible for leading cost tracking workflows from well design through execution and post-job reporting, ensuring alignment with global project control standards and supporting multidisciplinary teams across onshore and offshore operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the implementation of project controls systems and methodologies for cost estimation, schedule development, progress measurement, and change management.

Oversee the development and maintenance of the Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS), Original Control Budget (OCB), Current Control Budget (CCB), and Project Master Schedule.

Coordinate cost and schedule analysis, forecasting, reporting, and budgeting in collaboration with teams in Guyana and USA.

Administer the Management of Change process and support capital efficiency initiatives.

Interface with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate data delivery for benchmarking and tool development.

Support monthly stewardship reviews and ensure integration of cost and schedule control across project phases.

Provide leadership in the preparation of Estimate Confidence Packages, Estimate Development Plans, and Gate Review deliverables.

Review contractor performance in cost control, schedule adherence, and progress tracking, proposing corrective actions when needed.

Collaborate with onshore and offshore teams, ensuring effective communication and coordination across geographies.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management.

Experience:

Minimum 20 years in project controls within the oil & gas industry.

At least 8 years in supervisory roles.

Experience working with SAP and cost tracking systems.

Proven ability to manage large-scale projects and vendor relationships.

Technical Knowledge:

Strong understanding of project cost control, schedule development, and change management.

Familiarity with Primavera, PMI, AACE certifications preferred.

Knowledge of global project management frameworks and best practices.

Other Requirements:

BOSIET certification is desirable.

Availability to work on a 28-day rotation based onshore in Guyana, with occasional offshore visits if needed.

Strong communication and organizational skills to collaborate with diverse teams across locations.
