Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Controls Engineer/Specialist, Senior to join our team! In this role you will get to Insert one sentence summary of key job role.
What You'll Be Doing:
Reporting related to cost control, budget control, data management, change order management, financial reporting through Parsons’ custom project controls systems. Facilitates the development of the work breakdown structure (WBS).Hands on, detailed analysis and validation of project cost data to ensure accuracy and reasonableness.Works as a liaison between Project Managers, Procurement, Engineering, Finance Department and Billing Department to ensure Budgets, Financial Forecasts and Cash-flow reporting is timely and accurate.Co-ordinates with subconsultants and vendors for contracts compliance, invoicing, monthly accrual reporting, and payment reporting.Develops presentations, reports, graphs, dashboards, and procedures to meet specific project requirements related to budgets, estimates, cost, and schedules.Develops metrics and reports so that accurate and timely information can be provided to management and stakeholders.Reviews proposed project budgets and scope changes for proper justification and documentation.Troubleshoots project-specific budget, scope, schedule, funding, or documentation issues working with other Divisions, Branches or Departments.Identifies best practices and coordinate the development and implementation of project controls tools and procedures to support these best practices.Proficient with data tools like MS Excel and Power BI.Understands and applies engineering, procurement, and construction terminology, concepts, and relationships. Implements and maintains an Earned Value Management System on the project.Analyzes cost and schedule performance indicators (CPI and SPI).Prepares and maintains project forecasts and status updates. Provides assessment with corrective action recommendations to management.What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or Finance related field (or equivalent experience) and typically 5+ years of related work experience.
