Project Controls Consultant
Job Description Insight Global is hiring a Project Controls Scheduler to join the Central Construction team at Con Edison. This is a 6 month contract opportunity on a hybrid basis in the Bronx. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in construction scheduling and oversight for 4 active projects in Brooklyn and Queens. This role is critical for monitoring progress, identifying risks, and supporting timely project delivery. As a Project Controls Scheduler, you will work closely with contractors and internal teams to ensure project schedules are accurate, compliant, and aligned with contractual requirements. Additional responsibilities include: reviewing and analyzing contractor schedules to ensure they align with the project scope and contractual requirements. You will verify that schedules are properly resourced and include all activities within the project or bid package, while validating milestone allocation and compliance with obligations. This role involves tracking weekly and monthly schedule updates, comparing progress against the baseline to identify discrepancies and potential delays. You will prepare variance reports, highlight risks to the critical path, and monitor productivity through performance reporting. Additionally, you will collaborate with project teams to resolve schedule issues that could lead to change orders or impact timelines. Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 is essential for developing, maintaining, and updating project schedules. Skills and Requirements • 3–5 years of experience in construction scheduling or project controls • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field • Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Primavera P6. • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail • Excellent communication skills; ability to clearly present findings and recommendations • Must have valid Driver's License and vehicle for reliable transport • Background in heavy civil, building foundations, civil construction, or electrical construction preferred
