Job Description

AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Project Controls Analyst in Piscataway, NJ.

Job Details:

Work with company financial systems and processes to provide cost data in formats necessary to control the projectDevelop proficiency in the use of company cornerstone systemsWith financial terminology and measures, recognize the financial impact of various project actionsAssist in analyzing and using financial data to identify key project issuesUtilize drawings and specifications in the establishment of project baseline dataDevelop knowledge of accounting principlesAssist in assembling data for trending and forecastingPrepare analysis of progress trends and cost impactParticipate in reviewing and approving contractor invoicesCollect and analyze data on manpower, labor hour, and labor cost requirements versus budget limitationsCollect and analyze data for tracking actual cost to funding limitationsAssist in tracking purchase orders and subcontract commitments and expendituresAssist with the creation of baseline budgetsSupport the project reporting processParticipate in project cost review meetingsGather data for procedure development50% domestic travel required to client sites in the New York City, Newark, Jersey City metropolitan areaTelecommuting permitted 2-3 days per week within the New York City, Newark, Jersey City metropolitan areaFull-time

Qualifications

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field of study and 5 years of experience as a Civil Engineer, Project Field Engineer, Controls Analyst, or related occupation.

Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master's degree in Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field of study and 3 years of experience as a Civil Engineer, Project Field Engineer, Controls Analyst, or related occupation.

Position requires experience in the following:

Microsoft Office, including Excel, WordPrimavera P6Project Management Information Systems, including ProcoreOracle JDEInEight estimating softwareBusiness Intelligence / Reporting / Dashboarding tools including Power BI / Tableau
