Project Controller
Job Description What you will do: · Support administrating the site Surface Project Control Program with the Capital Portfolio Manager · Assume overall responsibility for the forecasting requirements of the portfolio, working with the Project Managers · Meet or exceed the monthly and annual forecasting accuracy targets · Assist Project Managers with development and execution of capital projects within Nutrien’s project management framework using Planisware software · Assist Project Managers with monitoring and controlling project costs · Establish and develop reports that detail portfolio progress · Develop and lead meetings and presentations at all levels of management · Support change order and contingency management · Actively manage annual portfolio cashflow for annual and multiyear budgets · Troubleshoot financial topics within various types of systems and software · Perform continuous improvement of portfolio management process and systems · Manage project accruals, cost reconciliation, and closeout activities · Escalate concerns, issues, and risks to appropriate management · Engage with relevant project stakeholders including project reporting to management We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements · Post-Secondary education in a relevant technical field. · Maintenance, project, and/or operational experience at an operating facility or a heavy industrial site is considered an asset. · Proficiency in the use of a variety of software programs, such as: Microsoft Excel, Planisware, Enterprise Asset Management Systems (Oracle), Microsoft 365 – Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint. · Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to be flexible in managing changing priorities · Strong communication and interpersonal skills · Ability to contribute effectively within a team and excel in a team environment · Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision
