In this Co-Op role, have a real impact in making our clients’ ambitions a reality. This is a great opportunity to be part of an innovation-focused team that is helping to drive CIBC’s risk initiatives by supporting the delivery of large-scale projects. In this role, you will spend time supporting your Project Managers throughout all phases of the project management lifecycle. This includes assisting with administrative support for assigned risk initiatives, constantly updating and managing project schedules, making mitigation decisions, and escalating issues when necessary. Part of your time will be spent maintaining project documents, obtaining sign-offs from approvers on project artifacts, managing project management logs, coordinating meetings and transcribing records, administering the project team collaboration site, creating change requests, as well as creating and updating presentations for senior management and ensuring financial records accuracy by tracking actual versus forecasted project expenses. _At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Our goal for the application process is to get to know more about you, all that you have to offer, and give you the opportunity to learn more about us. **How You’ll Succeed** **• Teamwork:** You’ll work closely with others and coordinate a portfolio of projects from end-to-end. **• Project Coordination** – Support your Project Managers throughout all phases of the project management lifecycle. Develop, manage, and control schedules by making continuous updates and mitigation decisions, escalating issues when necessary. **• Tracking & Reporting** – Track progress and make recommendations on response plans for risks, resolution plans, and results on action items. Support the tracking of small-scale projects generally under $1 million. **• Project Financials** – Track and reconcile financials, ensuring resolution of anomalies. Update and reconcile ongoing estimates, make recommendations, and escalate when necessary. **• Junior project management skills** – Create project plans by defining activities, milestones, and timelines to support successful project delivery. **• Risk & Issue Management** – Understand and differentiate project risks versus issues, and support appropriate mitigation and escalation activities. **• Financial & Budget Management** – Manage small budgets and support monthly project financial reporting using MS Excel. **• Digital & AI Enablement –** Leverage AI tools, including ChatGPT, to support productivity, analysis, and reporting. **• Stakeholder Engagement** – Comfortably connect with people and proactively follow up with team members on progress and status updates. **• Presentation & Reporting** – Manage project decks and status reports using MS PowerPoint to support senior management communications. **Who You Are** **• Organization:** Your time management skills are strong, and you are able to prioritize competing priorities to ensure successful outcomes. **• Communication:** You have excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively articulate ideas and opinions that involve analysis, interpretation, and assessment. **• Problem Solving:** You enjoy being presented with problems or issues and working with a team to find innovative solutions. **• Creativity:** You are curious and enjoy working in a team to visualize and design a possible new product or service and assess the market, business, and technical merits of that concept. **• Data analytics:** You have the technical skills to review and analyze data to find innovative opportunities and share insights with partners. **• Process Improvement:** You enjoy analyzing current processes and identifying improvements that will optimize or improve standards. **• Values matter to you.** You bring your real self to work and live our values: trust, teamwork, and accountability. **What CIBC Offers** At CIBC, your goals are a priority.
