Our client is executing a large project in the low carbon future sector as a Project Control Engineer, where your expertise will drive project success and contractor performance in a construction environment.

Role Overview

Support the Package Manager in managing project controls for allocated Work Package(s) - Onshore or Offshore package. Attend contractor meetings and perform site visits. Maintain and update the Package control schedule, integrating it into the overall project schedule. Provide progress reporting including schedule updates, KPIs, and variance identification. Monitor compliance with contractual obligations and procedural requirements. Verify contractor progress and applications for payment. Assist in developing action plans to avoid cost and schedule overruns. Review and challenge forecast trend analysis for schedules and costs. Analyze project deliverables status and forecast man-hours to complete. Prepare reports analyzing project progress during development or execution stages. Manage the database for project lessons learned. Maintain change management records and support evaluation of change orders. Support monitoring of permitting progress.

Skills & Qualifications

Working knowledge of project controls tools and principles. Experience as a Planner in the Oil & Gas industry, ideally in construction projects. Familiarity with Primavera P6. Experience with SharePoint is necessary; knowledge of Assai and Xflow is beneficial. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree preferred. Solid ground in Project Planning / Project Controls.
