Project Assistant
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Project Assistant to join our team a near Ohare Airport. This role is ideal for someone who excels in managing construction-related tasks, ensuring compliance, and supporting project operations. You will play a vital role in maintaining organization and accuracy across various project documentation and processes. Client offers medical, dental, vision, PTO, 401k, profit sharing, and short and long term disability. The pay range is $70k-$85k and its 4 days on site and 1 day remote. Recruiter: Connie Stathopoulos Responsibilities: • Ensure compliance with project-specific requirements, including conditional and unconditional waivers, and adhere to regulatory standards. • Review and document owner contracts, change orders, subcontracts, and subcontractor change orders using relevant software. • Prepare and distribute original waiver packages to title companies, ensuring all documents are accurate and complete. • Create and maintain lien waiver templates for both internal teams and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project needs. • Request and review subcontractor insurance certificates and endorsements, working collaboratively to address necessary revisions. • Coordinate with the Project Management team to collect closeout documents such as warranties, operation manuals, and as-built drawings, ensuring proper distribution to owners. • Establish and maintain organized filing systems for lien waivers, tracking their receipt and ensuring accurate record-keeping. • Facilitate subcontractor payments by ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant prior to release. Requirements • Strong ability to manage timelines and schedules effectively within project environments. • Experience in supporting construction projects, particularly commercial construction. • Proficiency in using master scheduling tools to coordinate project deliverables. • Familiarity with scanning and document management processes. • Knowledge of project management principles and tools. • Understanding of lien waivers and subcontract agreements. • Experience working with subcontractor bids and agreements. • Competence in handling G700 forms and other construction-related documents.
